I wrote this at the start of lockdown when my baby was 7 weeks old. We were often awake before the dawn chorus and these moments were a time of great introspection. Instead of excitedly planning trips for friends and family to meet Alicia, we had days of cuddles ahead of us. Static cuddles that soared in our minds, made magical by the dawn energy outside our window.
