Two Poems

Today

we buy ice cream
in the silence
of a stretched
out queue.

We keep safe.
We try
to keep safe.
Knowing

tomorrow it might change
again.

Tomorrow it might rain
again.

move in closer

       teasing

test-

    ing

the boundaries

like a surgical gown

      they

         l  o   o   s   e   n.
