The problem
we Wrote

Twice nominated for Pushcart and Best of the Net awards, J.I. Kleinberg is an artist, poet, and freelance writer. Her poems have been published in print and online journals worldwide. She lives in Bellingham, Washington, USA, where she tears words out of magazines and posts occasionally on Instagram @jikleinberg.

These visual poems are from an ongoing series of collages (2200+). Each contiguous fragment of text (roughly the equivalent of a poetic line) is entirely removed from its original sense and syntax. The words I find seem to reflect whatever is topmost in my mind, though the source text is on an entirely unrelated topic.

Supair, as say the French. Down in this hole we have dug for ourselves as a nation, we still cower among lies and deceit. Your words raise us up.
