I have been totally awestruck by the way the poetry world has responded to the pandemic – there are so many good on-line projects and I’ve been lucky to have poems included on Write where we are now, Pendemic and Postcards from Malthusia, as well as appearing in a couple of anthologies. It has really opened the world of poetry up to new voices and I’ve been delighted to have been included in the mix although saddened that the subject matter is one that is so traumatising. I can’t seem to stop writing pandemic/lockdown poems!
Hi Sue Burge, love your poem Pigeon, grounded, it’s very visual I can see him in his Buddha state, hard to penetrate his alien avian being, we do try to humanize animals don’t we! And I like his orange throne. Really good xx
