Distancing Socially

By Chris Palmer

You were well-known
as a super spreader
becoming a close contact
when we found ourselves
locked up and down
in a one point five metre
-squared apartment
personal equipment protected
searching for hotspots
flattening each other’s curves

Christopher Palmer would like to be known as a poet above all else. His first collection Afterlives was published by Ginninderra Press in 2016. He lives in Canberra, Australia.

In times of crisis I usually resort to humour; something that is immune to viral attack.
