Pandemic Haiku

By David Petreman

Death, death, death, death, death.
Death, death, death, death, death, death, death.
Death, death, death, death, death.

David A. Petreman has published poetry in many U.S. and Canadian literary journals. Dos Madres Press published his “Candlelight in Quintero” in 2011 and Finishing Line Press published his “Francisco in the Days of Exile in 2008.

I wrote the poem as a response to overwhelming grief.
